Born and raised in Bellingen, Australia, Keira Schwartz is humbled and inspired to be returning to Ballet San Jose for her second season.

After finishing her training on full scholarship at Der Akademie des Tanzes in Mannheim, Germany, Keira remained in Europe dancing with the Meninger Ballet Theatre and the Antaltisches Ballet Theatre Dessau until 2004. She then moved to England to dance with Northern Ballet Theatre.

Since arriving in the United States, Keira has been a member of the Sarasota Ballet of Florida and made guest appearances with the Atlantic City Ballet, but is now more than happy to call Ballet San Jose her home!
